"Assess the risk that an event will occur and help decision makers develop policies to reduce, manage or transfer that risk"

Overview
The Applied Mathematics to Risk Management Undergraduate Programme differs from other academic offerings, due to its architecture in accordance with internationally recognized requirements for professionals in risk analysis.
This Undergraduate Programme will provide the necessary methods to assist risk-related companies, such as banking insurance, pension funds and finance, increasingly in need of professionals with the ability to apply mathematical, statistical, and actuarial methods to identify, quantify, and manage inherent risks.
Acquire a proper understanding of different measurement tools and utilize numerical analysis to optimize problem-solving methods
Use the concepts and techniques of multivariate analysis, together with the R software, to solve most different problems of real life
Develop modeling techniques to decide the most adequate stochastic process that fits a given real situation
Focus on applied mathematics, complemented by economics and computer science skills, which are essential for the identification, quantification, mitigation and risk management.
Master the skill set required to utilize data to to fix problems, find solutions, and undergo simulation techniques in Risk management
Acquire the knowledge and skill set to use mathematics to reasoning and problem-solving and understand how to read diverse mathematical indicators.

Career Opportunities
